Not a Prize Winner, But Still A Winner to Us
Hello from the Media and Fundraising Teams.
Did anyone check out the big announcement today? The TD Friends of the Environment Go Green Challenge prizes were announced on twitter this morning.
Unfortunately, our video was not in the top three. While we’re sad that we didn’t win, we are thrilled that we had the opportunity to participate and learn from the experience.
Furthermore, the video may become a valuable piece for promoting and telling others what the Green Corridor is all about. We’re hoping pieces of it are usable for grant applications, and that it will be displayed on the main campus’s video screens soon.
We’d like to thank everyone who voted for our video. It was wonderful to connect with so many people who share our vision and hopes for this project. Your support of our ongoing endeavours is priceless!
Salutations and A New Promotional Video.
Hello from the Media and Fund Development Team!
Our salutations are slightly delayed, because we’ve been busy!
During the second meeting for the Green Corridor, Noel mentioned a video project, the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation’s Go Green Challenge. And a challenge it was. With a tight timeline (ten days) and a group with no past Green Corridor experience, we were shocked at how quickly our ideas came together.
We started filming on Saturday, regrouped and shared our ideas Tuesday, filmed again on Wednesday, and thanks to a massive editing effort from the fabulous Catrina, had a completed video Friday afternoon.
This project would prove a significant bolster to the Green Corridor, yielding $100,000 of funding for the course, as well as significant exposure via the Friends of the Environment Foundation’s website.
You will be able to enjoy the video in its entirety on February 28th, when it will be shown online for the first time.
