The Wind turbine group put a lot of effort in accomplishing some tasks. This week we headed out to scrap metals yards. On Monday two of us visited to K Scrap Resources which is a huge scrap metal yard in west side of Windsor, we met with Foreman and showed our design, he was very happy and gave us positive response and said he will discuss in the meeting and get back to us in coming week.
On Tuesday we visited another scrap yard A & P Metals, that is a small scrap yard in west side of Windsor as well. We had meeting with the owner of that scrap yard and we showed him our design and blue print to him, at first he was reluctant to give us for free, and he was charging 30cents per pound for steel tubing, but then we described him the project of Green Corridor and benefits for the community which convinced him and later he allowed us to take whatever we want for free. We are appreciating his efforts that he is donating the materials to us for the stand. Now we need to ship it to the Label building for the summer class.
On Tuesday again we had a very big day for our project. We had a meeting with Lorenzen Engineering and at this we had James D. Lorenzen is a owner of owner of Lorenzen Engineering with us which proved to be a successful meeting. We conclude that we are still working on a long term partnership with the Lorenzen Engineering and we really appreciate that he gave us valuable opportunity to successfully put this project and give such a donation.
We as a Wind turbine group are moving forward to complete our tasks. Again special thanks to Mr. James D. Lorenzen and A & P metals.
