This week we met up with Prof. Timothy Tiegs at St.Clair college. The meeting was quite fruitful since he is quite willing to help us with the actual setting up and running of the turbine. We described to him our ideas and he gave us an engineering perspective of what would work best. We are going to keep in contact with him throughout the semester and keep him updated with what we have done. He also expressed his willingness to help us acquire the best tools and equipment and will also help in connecting the turbine with the alternator, which we soon hope to obtain.
We also emailed WindTronics at the Michigan location, conveying our ideas and asking them for for any help in this regard. We intend to convince them to donate a wind turbine and hopefully we will be able to convince even more companies that we have contacted. Hopefully, we will hear from them next week.
